Overview
Load Balancer is a device that acts as a reverse proxy and distributes network or application traffic across a number of servers. Load balancers are used to increase capacity (concurrent users) and reliability of applications. They improve the overall performance of applications by decreasing the burden on servers associated with managing and maintaining application and network sessions, as well as by performing application-specific tasks
The F5 Load Balancers are the product from F5 which is named as BIG IP F5 which provides load balancing to the clusters of the server so that it can increase the performance of the server and prevent it to not feel the crunch. We configured a virtual server to the F5 load balancers and give it a virtual IP and named it VIP. In this server, we can do way lot more things but the major part is load balance. You can tell your F5 device that if the load is coming on the IP address of virtual server then send it to the remaining server.
